Kirk’s attention to detail and overall perspective related to his client’s case allows him to serve his clients effectively. His passion is in helping his clients find effective legal solutions, that allow them to move forward positively in life.
After an extensive 24-year career in the United States Marine Corps, Kirk turned his focus to pursuing a career as an attorney. His passion for the law and defending the rights of his clients has led him to his current position in criminal defense.
Kirk spent over a decade stationed in San Diego while serving in the Marines, and upon retirement, moved back to the state where he was raised, Minnesota, to attend law school. Upon graduation from law school, Kirk returned to San Diego with his family and began working with Mr. Kohnen.
Kirk enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1993 and became an Avionics technician on CH53e Super Stallion helicopters. Additionally, Kirk was designated a Combat Aircrewmen and served over six combat tours overseas. As a Master Sergeant Kirk retired and then attended Law School in Minneapolis at the University of St. Thomas. Kirk graduated amid the pandemic in May of 2020. Currently, Kirk is admitted to the California Bar to practice law under the supervision of Attorney Marc. S. Kohnen as a Provisionally Licensed Lawyer (PLL).
